Supplying Information on Web Forms

Websites that ask for personal information (home address, phone number, etc.) before it is absolutely necessary for them to know are not to be trusted.

They want your information because they can sell it!

An email address is all that should be necessary for initial communications, unless you specify otherwise.

Sites that ask for your social security number in case you earn money from them are definitely suspect.

Even the big companies (Google, Amazon, etc.) are guilty of this breech of security.  All it does is give their employees an unlimited number of identities they can steal to use or sell.

Do you really trust all of the employees in these companies?
