General Sports Pet Peeves 

Times out?
The guys that say times out instead of time-outs don't realize that it is a sports' term.  They are over-educated and under-brained.

Sissies that only play games with balls like to say that race car drivers, who risk their lives every second they are racing, aren't athletes.  How else would you expect a sissy to think?

Let's see; on one hand you have someone bouncing a rubber ball, dodging and weaving between players on a smooth wooden floor, and on the other hand you have someone wrestling a 1500 pound 230 mile per hour machine, dodging and weaving between other screaming machines, their lives on the line, etc.  Even a monkey could see the difference.

Infield Fly Rule
Why should the batter be called out just because they popped up?  The burden of making the out should be on the defense.  What if the fielder loses the ball in the sun or trips and actually fails to catch the ball?

The rule should be changed so that the batter isn't out unless the ball is caught.  The runners on base should be awarded one base if the umpire makes the infield fly call and the ball is not caught.

Football

Angle Of A Tackler
Some announcers think that the "angle" of a tackler gives him the advantage.  They should have paid attention in geometry.

Why do pros need to get two feet down?  It smacks of ballet or figure skating.

Removing ones helmet is now a penalty in the NFL.  What moron suggested this rule?.

Don't forget demonstrations.  Fun or excitement is not allowed; the fans might get too excited and start enjoying the game.
