Osama bin Laden, Dead or Alive?

If the earthquake didn't get him, his deteriorating kidney problem and lack of proper medical attention has probably killed him.

All leaders encourage their followers, and try to recruit new followers.  He can't do this with silence.

A likely scenario is that he realized his failings.

His plan only accomplished these things:

1. It destroyed his base in Afghanistan.
2. It brought down the Taliban government in Afghanistan.
3. It brought down Saddam Hussein.
4. It help spread democracy throughout the middle east.
5. It helped identify the truly evil people on this planet.
6. It made murdering low-lifes out of misguided, uneducated young people.
7. It killed many innocent people.
8. It has destroyed the image of Muslims and Islam in the eyes of all decent people.

If he is not dead, he is hiding in shame.
