The Positive Aspects of Global Warming

It give something for the gloom-and-doom crowd something to whine and cry about.  It gives them an excuse to demonstrate their ability to quiver in fear of the unknown.  It is a way to impress their children that everything new is terrible, and that only through insane fear can they possibly understand this dangerous world.

Where are the people that find the good in a situation?  I'm no expert on what would happen if the climate warmed up a bit, but it seems easy to find many positive results if one doesn't totally distort everything new into being horrible.

Some of the important things we should think about are:

1.  Feel sorry for the fools that live on the beach.  They just might have to relocate to higher ground.

2.  Explain to those that have rain forests that warm temperatures aren't conducive to rainfall.  Just because it's hot and tropical there year around, and it rains nearly every day doesn't mean anything.  A couple of degrees will surely reverse that trend.

3.  Explain how warm waters won't support oceanic life, even though everyone knows that sea creatures presently thrive in the warmer waters.  Al Gore will probably push for a law forbidding things to grow in warm waters.  He wouldn't want to disillusion his idiotic follower.

4.  Increase our use of solar power for energy and to desalinate water to irrigate all of our presently barren, useless land.

5.  Find out that we don't really need all of that ice at the poles.

6.  Realize that life will go on quite nicely without there being any polar bears.  Most people don't even eat polar bears.  It's like the dinosaurs; if you've never owned one, you really won't miss them.

7.  The people that have moved to Florida will find other comfortable places to live, contaminating the world for the rest of us.

8.  Some might even enjoy some change in their dreary life.  Those are the ones that we have to watch out for.  Happiness is contagious.

9.  Maybe, before any of the above catastrophes happen, an asteroid or a huge volcano will wipe out most of the people on this planet, giving the rest of us a chance at a new start.  Do you really need me to explain this?

10.  On the positive side, it will make many more jobs for the useless in our society while they scurry around trying to keep everything the same.  Fortunately, the asteroid will only hit them.
