Using a Blog as Evidence

9 Jan 06

A few reasons why it could only be used on the Planet of the Apes.

  1. A blog is fiction. Just because someone claims it to be the truth doesn't make it so.  Why . . .
  2. People exaggerate!
  3. People lie!
  4. People can be delusional.
  5. People can hallucinate.
  6. People try to impress.
  7. One person I know even lied about their weight!

Prosecutors, teachers, and parents are starting to use blogs against people.

THEY AREN'T EVIDENCE!

Lawyers, prosecutors, and judges don't want to admit it.  They want it to be a complicated legal issue to make more money for themselves or to justify their jobs and create more jobs.

IT'S A JOKE, PEOPLE.  If they ask, tell them that you were just kidding (or drunk, or horny, or depressed, or . . . ).

Personally, I'd tell them that I was just trying to see how a stupid person would react.

What about using Diaries as evidence?
