Did you know that three employees can run a train that can carry over 300 tractor-trailer loads of goods to practically any city on the continent? Smaller trucks and delivery people could disperse the goods in the local areas. Of course, that would do away with a lot of meaningless jobs and about 10% of our economy that keeps these smoke-belching, car crushing, road destroying monsters from clogging our roads. If you've driven beside one of these things in a small convertible, you might understand one of the reasons people want a big SUV. The only reason for 99% of the semi's is to create jobs, taxes, and inflate oil prices. |
