This is "tabloid mentality" used by TV news producers to sensationalize the news.

You can always find "some" idiot to say anything.

They also use "some think" when they are trying to reach the higher educated morons.

You know in which catagory you are by whether you think the news is presented for mental midgets or for "average" people.

Sadly, BBC is closer to "average" if you can get past the accent without giggling.
