Slow Motion TV Shows

Did you ever notice how slow and drawn out the scenes are in made for TV shows?

It's simply economics. Shows budgets are based on cost per second of actual screen time. Slowing down speech and stretching scenes help keep costs down.

They also don't like to pay writers so they substitute story content by using filler scenes of people going through the motions, as they do in the CSI's.

The days of good TV programs is about over.

The reality shows have been working, but how long can watching "not very bright people" doing silly things capture your attention? Longer than it can capture mine, I'll bet.
