What Idiot Would Think A Diary is Evidence?

We've had a rash of cases where a diary is considered as evidence in court cases.

Why doesn't someone bring up the point that just because it is written in a diary, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THE TRUTH!

As a matter of fact, what is written in a diary is probably closer to being a lie than the truth.

Anyone that writes a diary does so with the understanding that it will be read by someone after they die.

Does it take a genius to figure out that people probably exaggerate in their diaries?

What if they are drunk, or loaded and hallucinating? Or maybe they are subject to delusions when talking about themselves. Maybe they are trying to hurt someone.

MAYBE THEY WEREN'T UNDER OATH  when they wrote in it!
