Google — Any Complaints?

I know that they have a problem with people abusing the program, but . . .

People say that they are getting ripped off by Google.

It seems that they sign someone up then disable their account whenever it is time to send them a check.

Apparently, that's why they have a high minimum of $100 before they will issue a check.

They use a simple trick to "justify" keeping a person's money and disabling their account. They tell people that they can filter the advertisers on their site by entering the address of the site that a person wants blocked into to a form on Google's site.

That sounds reasonable. Who wants a competitor or an obvious crook advertising on their site?

Unfortunately, if you click on the ad to check out the site, then Google can say that you did unauthorized clicks, thereby justifying cancellation. Of course, they won't cancel you until it's time to send you a check.

They can get a million suckers to use their ad service for a few months, then cut them off and keep the money. That's a simple way to make a couple HUNDRED MILLION dollars.

Since the internet supplies them with an endless supply of new people, they don't even have to worry about dissatisfied customers.

I'm surprised that a smart lawyer hasn't already jumped on this gold mine and filed a class action lawsuit.

Actually, I like Google and most of what they are doing on the internet.

I hope they don't let this little problem darken their reputation.
